Are table runners and table cloths out of date?
Absolutely Not! Table Runners add style and accents to your table, sideboard and room decor. Create a new theme for dining with placemats and table runners.
What is a table runner? A decorator strip of fabric, linen, silk, country cotton or even paper about 18 inches wide. Table runners can be short for a center piece or longer and drape over the end of the table with tassels. Table runners are used on party and wedding reception tables for several reasons such as decorations, colors, and themes. They can accent the best antiques or table settings and at the same time cover up spots and hide dents and scratches on furniture.
Table runners can be in many different styles depending on the fabric you are using for the table runner. You will find square table runners with a Art Deco look and elegant table runners with glass beads, fringe and tassels.
